Metropolitan South Institute of TAFE
Metropolitan South Institute of TAFE (MSIT) is Queensland, Australia's largest education and training provider. In 2007-2008, MSIT educated over 46,000 students and currently offers more than 400 programmes via over 750 staff across 10 campuses on the south side of Brisbane. The Queensland Government gave MSIT lead institute responsibility for Aged Care, Employability Skills, Fashion, General Education, Health, Small Business as well as Training and Assessment (TAFE Teaching).

In 2008, MSIT was named Public Training Provider of the Year at the Queensland Training Awards, is a finalist in the Australian Training Awards and has won several other awards including the 2007 Queensland Education and Training International Award for Innovation and Creativity in the Learning Environment.

MSIT's courses include: 1) hospitality, 2) hairdressing, 3) horticulture, 4) fashion, 5) community welfare, 6) nursing, 7) aged care, 8) business, 9) arts and 10) information technology.
MSIT is offers pathways to universities in Queensland to provide packaged offers whereby a university offer is given, conditional upon successfully completing a set MSIT course.

It provides a friendly and nurturing environment with high levels of personal attention and student-teacher interaction. MSIT understands the challenges and difficulties that international students face. In addition to their studies, international students must live in a new culture and society, often far away from family and friends. To help with the adjustment, MSIT have dedicated staff who provide counselling and support to international students.

All of MSIT's campuses are conveniently located close to public transport. Four major campuses are located at Yeronga, Alexandra Hills, Loganlea and Mt Gravatt.
