SUMMER CAREER COMMUNICATION PROGRAM
ENGLISH PLUS CAREER AND PROFESSIONAL COMMUNICATION CERTIFICATE PROGRAM
LOCATION: ONLINE LIVE FROM NEW YORK
This Program is usually run at the New York City Campus of Pace University. Due to the Coronavirus situation, students will be unable to travel to New York City this summer. We have created a special ONLINE version that will be as live and real experience as possible. Real, live Career, Internship and Workplace discussions with Employers and Internship Program hosts in New York City.
DATES AND SCHEDULE
July 13-31, 2020.
A total of 12 hours of instruction per week.
Days and Times: 2h 15m live teaching session will be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings (Japan Time) = 4h 30m total live instruction per week. And 3 hours of live coaching per week.
WHAT SKILLS YOU WILL LEARN
Improve your English pronunciation and fluency
Develop the 4 C’s: Cross-Cultural Communicative Competence
Utilizing storytelling techniques, you will learn how to impress hiring managers
Over three weeks you will learn how to explain about your skills and experience
And how they relate to your professional experience and what you can bring to the Internship/workplace
Learn how to conduct an Internship and Job Search
Study techniques for developing strong Interviewing Skills
Master Telephone Skills and learn how to Conduct Meetings
Study and practice basic Negotiation Skills
You will develop skills to make strong individual presentations
You will also work in groups and learn to make good collaborative group presentations
You will learn how to best access good sources to develop superior content
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS GUEST SPEAKER SERIES
This course includes access to an English PLUS career and professional skills Guest Speaker Series. New York City-based industry professional guest speakers hold online discussions related to careers. This includes speakers from various industries that will provide you with successful networking techniques and job and internship search strategies.
CERTIFICATE, APPLICATIONS AND COST
Participants who complete the program will receive a Course Completion Certificate from PACE University.
Minimum of 5.5 IELTS or 50 TOEFL IBT to participate The Application Deadline is June 30th, 2020. The Early Bird 10% discount deadline is June 16th, 2020. The total cost is 65,000 yen
