University of St. Gallen MBA

The MBA programme at the University of St.Gallen is located in the heart of Europe; Switzerland. Founded in 2005, the MBA strives to develop competent, entrepreneurial, internationally oriented and socially responsible managers who can master tomorrow’s challenges.

Diversity
The contents of each course are drawn from theory and business cases from all over the world, which, alongside an internationally mobile faculty and highly diverse student body, has ensured a truly international experience for our students. We believe that diversity of experiences and academic and cultural backgrounds enriches the learning environment. We place special emphasis on promoting diversity within our small class. This also reflects Switzerland’s tradition as a multicultural host to numerous international companies and organisations in the heart of Europe.

Programme structure and content
The St.Gallen full-time MBA is an intensive 12 month experience, taught entirely in English, with a general management approach but with the option for you to tailor the programme towards your own specific career needs. The first stage of the MBA is from September to February and comprises 13 core modules that cover a range of general management subjects. During the elective phase of the MBA, over 20 electives are offered in 5 subject areas: Business Strategy & Operations, Finance & Banking, Emerging Markets, International Management and Entrepreneurship. During the final term, you will be required to pursue a Corporate Project either as an in-company business project in a single company or as an academic research project covering a range of companies or a specific industry related issue.

A Personal Approach to your Career

The St.Gallen MBA maintains a small, highly-selective class of participants and invests significant resources in providing individual industry coaching, career planning and mentoring services. As a MBA participant, you will have a personal Coaching Programme which will help you identify your personal strengths and weaknesses and initiate a targeted reflection process with the aim to develop responsible leaders.
